Excellence in Nursing Awards

We honor local nurses with our "Excellence in Nursing" awards, these awards go to extraordinary nurses who go above and beyond for their patients. Excellence in Nursing Awards highlight the important role nurses play within the healthcare industry, and recognize their countless contributions to our community.
Nominations are due by April 27th, at 10am.

The four areas of recognition are:

  • Advancing and Educating
    A teacher and educator with a passion to help nurses around them grow in their knowledge of the field and patient care.
  • Home, Community and Ambulatory
    Someone who exemplifies outstanding knowledge outside of the hospital setting, throughout the community, in the home, or in emergency service lines, going above and beyond with quality and compassionate care.
  • Clinical Nursing
    Inpatient, an RN that excels in effective interpersonal relationships, through compassion, leadership, integrity, and professionalism in delivery of care to patients and families.
  • Volunteerism and Service
    One who gives selflessly in outstanding humanitarian and/or heroic efforts. An individual with a passion for giving and providing medical services to those in a time of need or an underserved population.

The Excellence in Nursing awards will be given on May 3rd, at the Nurse's Day luncheon. Execellence in Nursing Awards recipients will be notified Friday, April 28th.

Luncheon Registration deadline is April, 28th 2017.

Nominations are due by April 27th, at 10am.

Keynote Speaker - Hazel Curtis, BSN, MPH

This year’s keynote speaker, Hazel Curtis, RN, MPH, motivational speaker and life coach will share on the “Lessons of the Cards.”

Hazel is a pioneer in leadership development with an emphasis coaching frontline and mid-managers in the skills necessary to create an environment where each employee can do “the best work of their life.” As a R.N., she is dedicated to revitalizing the work of healing in a highly stressful, over-regulated workplace. Hazel’s hallmark of high energy combined with practical wisdom makes her a sought after speaker and trainer. She is passionate about inspiring women—the major providers and purveyors of healthcare— to unleash passion, purpose and power.
