CARDIAC REHABILITATION PROGRAM

Our Cardiac Rehabilitation program is medically supervised to help heart patients recover quickly and improve their overall physical and mental health. The program’s goal is to teach you how to modify the risk factors for coronary disease through education and a supervised exercise program to help you return to a productive and satisfying lifestyle. Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is covered by most health plans and Medicare.

DIABETES CARE CENTER

Our Diabetes Care Center can help you take control and learn how to live well with diabetes. From managing your medication, planning meals, to understanding and coping with diabetes, our comprehensive diabetes care program will provide you with the skills you need to be live a healthier life! Diabetes Care Center is covered by most health plans and Medicare.

HEART WELLNESS SCREENING

Heart disease is America’s #1 killer of both women and men. That’s why Shasta Regional offers a low-cost Heart Wellness screening, so you can learn your personal risk and take steps to lower your risk. We remain committed to our community in educating on the prevention of heart disease and we want to encourage everyone to know their numbers, listen to their bodies and spread awareness about the risk of heart disease. Shasta Regional is committed to improving the cardiovascular health of women and men.

The Heart Wellness Center’s screening fee of $45 will offer a one-hour initial visit and comprehensive Heart Risk Assessment to include:

  • Lipid and Cardiac Risk Profile
  • Glucose (blood sugar)
  • 12-lead electrocardiogram
  • Blood pressure and heart rate
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Ankle Brachial Index (ABI)

NUTRITIONAL WELLNESS COACHING

Shasta Regional’s Nutrition Coaching Program is designed to help you make the changes you need to live a healthy lifestyle. Research shows that people who have changed to a healthier lifestyle of eating and increased activity have done so by making small changes. We focus on helping you make little changes that create lasting results. Nutrition coaching is successful because you decide what you want to change and how you want to change it…the coach is your guide.

The Nutritional Wellness Coaching fee of $80 includes a comprehensive one-hour consultation on how to:

  • Create clear, specific wellness vision
  • Set small achievable one-week goals
  • Set three month behavioral goals
  • Summarize your plan and identify how to reach your goal
  • Follow up
  • Measure success and identify barriers
  • Create solutions to your barriers
  • Set goals for the following week

PULMONARY REHABILITATION PROGRAM

Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation program recently accredited by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation helps people with moderate to severe breathing problems to overcome the physical limitations resulting from their disease. Candidates for the program include patients recovering from an acute episode, conditioning for surgery, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, lung transplant and anyone whose activities are limited by chronic lung disease and shortness of breath. Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is covered by most health plans and
Medicare.

VASCULAR WELLNESS SCREENING

The Vascular Wellness Screening at Shasta Regional Medical Center offers expertise across the entire spectrum of non-invasive diagnosis, medical therapy, vascular surgery and interventional procedures. Vascular disease can produce strokes, which serve as the third leading cause of death in the United States. Preventing a stroke begins with early detection, if you are over the age of 50 and have any of the risk factors, you may want to consider a vascular screening. The process begins with a vascular disease screening and risk assessment evaluation.

The Vascular Wellness Center’s screening fee of $50 includes a comprehensive one-hour consultation and patients receive:

  • Blood pressure
  • Heart rate
  • Ankle brachial index
  • Carotid ultrasound
  • Abdominal ultrasound of the aorta

WOMEN'S HEART CENTER

Shasta Regional’s Women’s Heart Program provides early detection through education, information and preventative screening services to help women understand their risk for heart disease and take steps to improve their overall heart health.

The Women’s Heart Center’s screening fee of $45 will offer a one-hour initial visit and comprehensive Heart Risk Assessment to include:

  • EKG
  • Cholesterol screening
  • Smoking cessation
  • Blood pressure management
  • Glucose screening
  • Hearth healthy eating plan
  • Cholesterol management
  • Atrial fibrillation

WOUND CARE CENTER

Our outpatient Wound Care Clinic is physician run and specializes in treatment of wounds that require advanced care. Our holistic program of treatment and prevention heals chronic wounds, saves limbs and improves the overall health and wellbeing of our patients.
