Visitors Guide

Visitors are encouraged to visit friends and family members. Our visiting hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. In special cases, visitors may be allowed to arrive after 8 p.m. However, after hours access is limited and must be approved by the nursing unit.

If you have questions concerning visiting hours or to find the best times to visit your friends and family members, feel free to call us at (530) 244-5400 and we will connect you to their room. If you are experiencing cold or flu symptoms, we ask that you take the proper precautions and consider rescheduling your visit. We appreciate your support in making every effort to help your loved ones get the rest and care they need so they can recover quickly.

Cafeteria

Café Shasta is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Breakfast is served 7 to 10 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and the grill hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A variety of entries focused on wellness and eating healthy are served daily including vegetarian and vegan dishes. Wellness entrees and salad recipes were developed by our regional and national chefs and dietitians. Vending machines are located in the cafeteria as well.

Gift Shop

Staffed by the Shasta Regional Auxiliary, our gift shop is located in the main lobby of the hospital. A variety of greeting cards, flowers, balloons, jewelry, gifts, candy and snacks are available for purchase.

Hours of operation are Monday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Tuesday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to noon.

To purchase a gift for a hospital patient by phone, call the gift shop at (530) 244-8304.

Sales obtained through the gift shop fund scholarships to help employees and community members with their continuing education goals. To date, approximately $25,000 has been awarded through scholarships.

Waiting Rooms

Shasta Regional Medical Center has several waiting rooms available. Just inside the main entrance to the hospital sits our main lobby, which offers plenty of seating as well as a hospitality cart with complimentary coffee, tea and snacks.

Our second floor waiting room provides a quiet place to pass the time when waiting for loved ones. Snack and soda machines and a flat-screen TV are available. The Patrick Ryan Room is also available for our cardiac short stay visitors.

Pastoral Care
To help care for our patients’ and their families’ spiritual needs, specially trained chaplains are available at Shasta Regional Medical Center to support them in the midst of whatever circumstances have brought them to the hospital.

Notary Services
Notary services are available by appointment for patients with health-related issues. If you have an urgent need to have a health care document notarized while you are a patient in the hospital, you may call Administration at (530) 244-5454 for assistance.
