2011 Turkey Trot
SRMC’s Turkey Trot is celebrating its 26th anniversary! Redding’s biggest and longest standing tradition on Thanksgiving Day morning is an event not to be missed and fun for the whole family!
Last year the Turkey Trot had a record year with more than 1,000 runners in the 6-mile run and four times as many in the 2-mile run/walk along the Sacramento River Trail. All the proceeds from the Turkey Trot, more than $30,000, were donated to Shasta Family YMCA, Girls on the Run and SWEAT Running Club.
This year to mark our 26th anniversary, we have activities and events planned that will build momentum and excitement up until the event day! The proceeds from the 2011 Turkey Trot will benefit Plus ONE Mentors, Shasta Family Justice Center, Shasta Family YMCA, Girls on the Run and Redding Recreation.
