Go Redding Luncheon to Shed Light on Heart Disease

01-31-2018

Redding, Calif. (January 31, 2018) – Shasta Regional Medical Center (SRMC) will welcome the month of love by drawing women’s attention to their cardiovascular health. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the US, and it accounts for one in three deaths among women, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. SRMC will host its seventh annual heart health-focused Go Redding Luncheon at the Holiday Inn hotel on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 10 am to 1:30 pm.

The sold-out event will feature a Health and Beauty Boutique, silent auction, gourmet lunch and presentation made by Emmy-nominated actress Tracey Conway, who felt compelled to speak on behalf of women’s heart health after “dropping dead” as a result of cardiac arrest while filming a comedy show at the age of 38. The event will stream live for the public on SRMC’s Facebook page, and will also be available for later viewing on ShastaRegional.com.

“It is so important for us to bring attention to women’s heart health in the Redding community,” says SRMC marketing and business development manager, Eleah Ervin. “The Go Redding Luncheon brings many women together, inspires them, and delivers information they can act now on to protect their health and the health of their families.”
