Shasta Regional Medical Center now accepting Blue Shield of California

Redding, CA, December 1, 2016 — Shasta Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce we are once again participating providers with Blue Shield of California. Shasta Regional is now able to offer hospital medical services to Blue Shield of California Commercial and Medicare Advantage members effective December 1, 2016.

Cyndy Gordon, Shasta Regional’s CEO stated, “Contract negotiations with Blue Shield of California have been in the works for quite some time and were finalized this week.” Blue Shield of California is one of the largest provider of insurance coverage in Shasta County and California. “This is a great step for the hospital, physicians and our community allowing for quality health care to become more widely available for all. We fully understand that the choice of a health care provider and facility is a personal one, and we are happy that we now can provide the freedom for many to select Shasta Regional Medical Center as their hospital of choice,” said Gordon.
