Visitors Guide

For the safety of our patients, staff, and visitors, Shasta Regional Medical Center is following the guidance from the CDC and Shasta County Health and Human Services regarding visitor restrictions in the hospital.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.


  • Masks are required at all times
  • One primary visitor and one alternate to be allowed per patient. This should be designated visitor for duration of admission.
  • Designated visitors may leave and return to hospital as needed during visiting hours.
  • Visitors will be screened at check-in for COVID Symptoms
  • Visitors with symptoms or on quarantine may not enter the hospital
  • Visiting Hours
    • Monday – Friday 6:30am – 6:30pm
      • Patients may have ONE visitor for pre-op visit and day of procedures scheduled for arrival before 8:00am
    • Saturday – Sunday 8:00am – 6:30pm
  • Visitors must provide COVID Vaccine Card or proof of a negative test within 72 hours of visit.
  • Patients with cognitive issues are allowed 2 designated visitors who can rotate and stay with patient 24/7. Both cannot visit at the same. This is California law.
  • The hospital cafeteria is open for visitors. Social distancing must be maintained. The cafeteria is not to be used as a waiting room.
  • Waiting rooms remain closed to visitors at this time.
  • ER or admitting are to obtain name of designated and alternate visitor upon admission.
  • Visitors should attempt to maintain six-foot distance from others including the patient they are visiting.


Please maintain social distancing. Masking is required when not eating.

Café Shasta Regional is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Breakfast is served 7 to 10 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and the grill hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A variety of entrees focused on wellness and eating healthy are served daily, including a salad and sandwich bar, and hot dish options. Vending machines are located in the cafeteria as well.

Pastoral Care

To help care for our patients’ and their families’ spiritual needs, specially trained chaplains are available at Shasta Regional Medical Center to support them in the midst of whatever circumstances have brought them to the hospital.

Parking/Shuttle Service

Free parking is available in one of three parking areas:

  • The main hospital parking area located near the entrance of the hospital
  • The South Garage is located on Liberty Street across from the East Street Physician office
  • Across the street on East Street
